MOTD Round 1. Empty MOTD Round 1.

One thing I am this season adding is that seeing as the game is called MOTD for "Match of The Day" is that each week I will be announce the League's Match Of The Day. The participants will receive some additional TV money. Two other game will be considered "highlights" games and get a smaller bonus.

For Round One the MOTD is Arsenal v Chelsea.
These two league powers could be considered to have underachieved in the league last season (with Arsenal's Cup the only bright spot between them) and both would be aiming higher this season.

The other games are:
Manchester City v Manchester United. On paper two of the strongest teams and while United was League Champions, City was a disappointing underachiever last season.

Sunderland v West Ham
West Ham would be hoping to bounce straight back into the top tier of football and that would need to start with a win over mid ranked Sunderland.
